
It gives me great pleasure to introduce the newest member of the Rayt team: Vice President and West Cost Rep Joe Solomon. Joe and I went to college together (Vassar '04) and then went our separate ways. Joe, no stranger to entrepreneurship, had operated an online bookstore during college and continued in that vein after graduation, eventually selling the business to move on to greener pastures.
This past February, Joe moved out to San Francisco to help a friend develop StuckinBed.org, an online community for people dealing with depression. However, instead of spending a couple of weeks in California as originally planned, Joe went to Bar Camp and events sponsored by Aspiration Tech and (inevitably) fell in love with Web 2.0. A self-proclaimed "digital idealist," Joe is currently Creative Director at Stuck in Bed.
Other than his passion for the world-saving potential of the internet, Joe is a professionally-trained clown. Clowning, in Joe's view, is all about emotional transparency and making an honest connection with other human beings, so that's clearly an asset is a co-worker and business partner. I'm glad to have Joe aboard and look forward to working with him to make Rayt a reality.
