Can A 5 pevm motherboard/pentium4cpu run a dvd read and write drive?
I noticed that my dvd/cd drive can only read dvds and not wirte and burn on dvd discs. I’m planning to replace it. I bought my PC as a full set. I’m concerned if my motherboard could run a drive like that.(because it came with a read only dvd drive, maybe it’s the max that the 5pevm could handle).
Yes. Just about any motherboard that has come out in the last few years (and more…) can handle a dvd burner.
Any pentium 4 motherboard should be able to run a dvd burner just fine. Also, yours is an Asus. They tend to make quality boards.
There must be something else wrong, maybe the software needed to burn a disk is not present, or not working properly. Or there could be something wrong with the burner itself, or the blank disks being used….
It’s hard to say what’s wrong without more information, but your computer should be able to burn disks.
